Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and First Lady Dragica Nikolic paid a State visit to the Republic of Indonesia from April 26-29th 2016. This was the first visit of the President of Serbia to Indonesia after 58 years. During his stay in Indonesia President Nikolic met with the President of the Republic of Indonesia J. Widodo, as well as with the President of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Indonesia A. Komarudin. The President visited Salim group and the National Archives of Indonesia, where exhibition of documents on relations between Serbia and Indonesia was placed and where he had a meeting with Serbian diaspora. During the visit, Agreement on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports and the Program of cooperation in the field of education were signed. The two Presidents issued a Joint statement in which they highlighted the most important bilateral and international issues.
